Dr Yeo attended his 3rd ankle replacement cadaver workshop on the 19th July at the QUT laboratory. It is always pertinent to keep up to date with new and recent advances in ankle replacement surgery, and as the saying of practice makes perfect goes, prior practice on a cadaver allows Dr Yeo to trial and improve different skills and techniques prior to performing actual surgery on patients. Ankle replacement surgery is gradually increasing in numbers throughout Queensland though minimal numbers are still being performed. If you have ankle arthritis, speak to Dr Yeo regarding whether you are a suitable candidate for an ankle replacement.
