Keyhole bunion surgery update

We have now been performing keyhole bunion surgery for over 4 years with good results. Compared to the traditional open surgery, patients have been able to mobilise better, with minimal pain, and less complications such as wound infection & breakdown.

Keyhole bunion surgery allows a 3D correction of the deformity, not only allowing translation, but also movement to position the toe in plantarflexion or dorsiflexion. More importantly in severe deformities, keyhole surgery allows correction of rotation, something not always possible in open surgery.
