Keyhole Bunion surgery – reducing the learning curve

Dr Gerald Yeo is now a Consultant on the Stryker/Wright Medical team trying to reduce the learning curve for other surgeons developing their skills in keyhole bunion surgery. Minimally invasive/keyhole bunion surgery can take up to 18 months or up to 40 operations before a surgeon can be declared proficient. With the aid of Stryker, we aim to allow other surgeons visitations to observe Dr Yeo or for Dr Yeo to travel to them to minimise the length of time or number of operations required to be skilled in performing bunion surgery.
